Ryan Nelson, PT, DPT

Ryan has focused his practice as a physical therapist on orthopedics ranging from post-operative surgical care to sports injuries and overuse syndromes. He uses an evidence based approach with manual therapy techniques in conjunction with therapeutic exercise and patient education to help patients reach their goals in returning to optimal function and improving their quality of life. Ryan has worked with a large variety of patients including collegiate and elite endurance athletes, elderly adults, kids and youth athletes, as well as patients with chronic pain syndromes, neurological conditions, and various disabilities. As an avid runner he has a strong interest in the prevention and treatment of overuse injuries occurring in endurance sports, with advanced training in gait analysis to thoroughly diagnose and treat these injuries. Whether you want to run a marathon or learn to walk again Ryan's goal is to motivate you and work with you to achieve your goals, whatever they may be.

When he's not treating patients, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family and enjoying everything that Flagstaff has to offer. Although he was raised in Phoenix, he is grateful to be able to call Flagstaff home and can usually be found hiking or running any of the beautiful local trails in his spare time.
